The Joy of Fluidity in Form
with Donna Farhi
July 11-18, 2020
Join lifetime Yoga practitioner and teacher, Donna Farhi and co-facilitator Karla Brodie for a week at Blue Spirit, one of the foremost world-class yoga and meditation retreat centers in Costa Rica. Perched on a hilltop that overlooks the Pacific Ocean and a three-mile long white sand beach– Blue Spirit offers an extraordinarily beautiful and natural setting for your week.
We chose this lush tropical setting for many reasons including its unique healing energies, spectacular yoga halls, fresh and organic cuisine, on site holistic spa, infinity salt water pool and direct access to a quiet warm beach cove for swimming.
Each day, Donna will guide you in thorough morning Yoga session, accessible to all levels of experience. Mornings classes will focus on reawakening our natural sensitivity and fluidity as the foundation for re-experiencing ease and stable mobility throughout the whole body. Through delightful movement inquiry, fluid warm-ups and slow yet strengthening yoga practice we’ll build a vocabulary of possibilities that can enhance your relationship to yoga as a sustainable lifelong practice. By offering progressive points of entry for many of the practices, you can practice at a level that feels right for your body.
In the afternoons we’ll return for a deep and wondrous Restorative Yoga session led by Karla Brodie, one of New Zealand’s foremost proponents of this practice of renewal. As a part of that restoration, Donna will finish each afternoon session with a guided Yoga Nidra: an ancient Tantric practice designed to take you into profound stages of relaxation and self-awareness. In between, you can venture out to experience a cloud forest canopy zip line, waterfall hike, enjoy a massage, or simply rest by the pool with a good book.
During your week, you will have the opportunity to:
- Wake up each morning to the sound of the howler monkeys and enchanting sunrise over the ocean
- Enjoy daily yoga classes with Donna and staff
- Play on a pristine beach and swim in the warm waters of a friendly ocean cove
- Explore the natural jungle and ocean settings with eco-excursions
- Enjoy local organic food exquisitely prepared
- Select from accommodations ranging from simplicity to luxurious

ABOUT COSTA RICA
While it may seem remote, Costa Rica is easily accessible from the United States and Canada. Costa Rica has not only become known for its spectacular nature, bio-diversity, and ecological tourism, but also as a country whose values reflect many of the ideals embraced by those of us interested in world peace, environmental preservation, excellent education, and a high standard of health care. It is unique in Central America as it has the longest uninterrupted democracy, no standing army in more than 50 years, and a 95% literacy rate.
Blue Spirit lives in one of the world’s five Blue Zones®: Nosara, on the Nicoya Peninsula. Blue Zones® are recognized areas where people live the longest and report the highest levels of wellbeing.
In the last 10-years Nosara has grown quietly into one of the hip holistic hot-spots on the planet. Nestled along the coast with 3 unspoiled stunning beaches protected as a turtle refuge – Playa Guiones, Playa Pelada, and Playa Nosara – this peaceful and vibrant international community of nature lovers, surfers, yogis, and families truly embraces the Costa Rican ‘Pura Vida’ lifestyle.
