Travel, Additional Information & FAQ’s
Some answers to anticipated questions:
Q: I’d probably be coming alone. Do you expect there to be more couples there or other singles? I’ve never traveled alone and not sure I’d enjoy it!
A: YES–there are lots of fun single people to meet (friends, I mean!). Most of those coming are solo, and also looking to band together with others. There are also some couples too! You will LOVE LOVE LOVE it –all you do is get there, and you won’t be alone again if you don’t want to be. We all hang out constantly. So many people aren’t sure about how it will be to come by themselves, and then it’s so super fun and empowering. I can’t say enough about it.
Q: Are most of the days spent on planned activities or breaking off and doing things individually?
A: Most days we are doing special VIP adventures that Don takes us to but there are a couple of afternoons free to shop and do things with others or if you want to go get a massage or whatever! Or heck, have another glass of Brunello.
Q: Are any spa services included?
A: The spa is basically a whole beautiful little town, Bagno Vignoni. The spa treatments like massage aren’t included but just to go into the healing hot springs is very inexpensive, and amazing. Just to be in the springs for 20 minutes makes you feel like you just slept for a week!
Q: What is the name of the hotel/inn in Montalcino?
A: There are 4 hotels in Montalcino, all surrounding the fortress: Barlanzone, Il Rifugio, PortaCastellana. Suite d’Artista are apartments we will use for couples or 2 friends sharing.
Q: Do you provide transportation to and from the airport? Which airport should I fly into, and what times should I arrive and depart?
A: Yes, we take you from, and back to the Rome (FCO) airport on the 26 July and 1st of August. We are going to meet for the shuttle between 12-12:30 on the 26th, so make sure you’re at the airport by then. (NOTE: You will want to arrive earlier so you’re able to make it through customs and be able to meet us in the area outside customs BY noon). On the 1st, try to get a flight out after 10 am so you won’t have to get up too early, and we will have a shuttle back for you–easy! Each participant will receive a very detailed itinerary prior to the trip, but follows is a good feel of what to expect!
