Siri Bahadur Khalsa

Siri Bahadur has been practicing Kundalini Yoga since 1973 in Dallas, Texas. Since then he has taken steps to deepen his practice, first beginning to teach (in 1976) the style taught by Yogi Bhajan, then training Kundalini Yoga teachers in 1998 in Austin, Texas and around the world. He is a 500 hour certified Kundalini yoga teacher and a professional teacher trainer.

As a result of a lifelong interest in music, Siri Bahadur’s teaching centers around sound – sound in its many forms – that of breath, voice, instruments, and nature. He uses guitar, gongs, crystal bowls and, of course mantra to align the body mind and spirit with the essential Self, the base of our individual being. He teaches drop-in classes, workshops, retreats, and personally guided programs designed for your particular needs and intentions.

One of the most interesting facets of teaching yoga with its many tools to influence perception is the ability to adjust our response to the experience of life. In every moment we have an infinite number of options upon which to base our chosen relationship to that flow of creativity. Siri Bahadur shares ways to find the appropriate attitude of the moment to move from self-defeating patterns of behavior towards responses which lead to a fuller appreciation of the constantly expanding play of the Divine as Life. He employs investigation and humor as essential aspects of the yogi’s adventure.

Siri Bahadur shared his consummate skills in gong mastery with generosity and joy, widening our perspectives on what was possible to achieve and giving practical guidance about techniques and equipment when our curiosity peaked. Delivered with pure intention and an open heart and received with much gratitude.

I absolutely loved Siri Bahadur’s kundalini yoga classes. The gentle encouragement and wisdom imparted combined with the guitar, singing and gong bath was sublime. Not to be missed! Thank you!
