GREECE
with Jurian Hughes and David Wallace
Sep 25 – Oct 2, 2027
Registration opening soon!
Escape to the tranquil beauty of Paros Island in Greece, where the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea meet golden sunrises and gentle ocean breezes.
Join Jurian Hughes and David Wallace for this transformative week-long yoga retreat and feel yourself unwind, let go, and merge with the beauty of nature.
Imagine your days filled with daily yoga practices for all levels, moments of meditation, playful excursions, and plenty of time to simply be. Jurian will invite you into embodied experiences of joy through yoga, movement, dance and chanting. David will guide eye-opening explorations into some of the ancient Greek myths and their significance today.Together, we will move our bodies, breathe deeply, and bask in delicious moments of stillness and ease. Wander through scenic villages, soak in the warm Mediterranean sun, and let cool dips in the sea cleanse your spirit.
No prior yoga experience is needed—just a sense of curiosity and an open heart.
Our retreat center on tranquil Paros island sits on the relatively untouched seaside of Santa Maria. The closeness to nature in its rawness and purity creates deeply nourishing conditions for your healing, rejuvenation and self reflection.
Accommodations are simple and rustic, inspired by the elements and the muses of Greek Mythology, the rooms are open, naturally lit and purposefully minimal to simplify your experience on retreat. Most of the rooms face the seaside and are a stone’s throw away from Filizi beach, with unencumbered access to the crystal waters of the Aegean Sea. Perfect for a sunrise dip!
Rooms have ceiling fans, private bathrooms, towels, linens, a water kettle and small fridge. Wifi is available on the property for your convenience, but we encourage as much “unplugging” as possible!
Organic gardens supply the majority of ingredients to the on site vegetarian restaurant. Other ingredients are sourced locally (on Paros, or wider-Greece) with a low carbon footprint in mind. Meals are prepared based on ancient Ayurvedic principles, emphasizing wellbeing, balance and bliss in the body. Each meal, you’ll be offered a variety of plant-based dishes, fusing exotic Indian flavours with the tastes and character of traditional Greek cuisine.
The kitchen takes great pride in creating meals with complete taste profiles that tantalize the taste buds and leave the body and soul satiated, nourished and energized.
For something extra, the kitchen is available to serve you in between meals, with juices and smoothies, and a selection of healthy snacks and salads available for order throughout the day.
Daily yoga classes will be offered (morning and afternoon) in one of two beautifully appointed yoga shalas. (Shala’s do have the option of air conditioning as needed)

Travel, Additional Information & FAQ’s
Your retreat starts on Saturday. We’ll collect your travel plans and coordinate with the center to arrange some taxi shares to the center. (On small islands, there are no credit card machines on taxis, so please plan to have some Euro for these short jaunts!)
We anticipate that many of you will extend your travels before or after the retreat – adding some time in Athens or on other islands. We anticipate everyone’s main international flights will be to Athens, then hopping a short flight directly to Paros from Athens (available on Aegean Air and SkyExpress). Based on timing of flights, it may be necessary to add a night in Athens on the front and / or back end.
Another option to get to Paros from Athens or other Greek islands is by ferry. The ferry is 4.5 hours from Athens, but much closer if you’re coming from another island.

The retreat ends with breakfast on the following Saturday. We’re happy to arrange taxi shares to the port or airport.
We’ve scheduled this retreat for late September-early October, in order to enjoy the best of all worlds. This time of the year avoids peak tourist season (and the extreme heat of summer), offering pleasant temperatures (70s during the day, cooler evenings in the 60s, with water temperatures cool but still comfortable, around 70).
What to pack (generally!):
- Valid Passport (ensure that it does not expire within 6 months of your travel)
- Comfortable walking / hiking shoes as well as all purpose footwear like sandals, running shoes, etc.
- A bathing suit (or 2!), comfortable island clothing, light layers, yoga clothes. Laundry facilities are not available, but you can hand wash and hang to dry.
- A light wind and rain breaker (just in case, and for warmth if it cools at night)
- Refillable Water Bottle
- Sunscreen
- Adapters for electronics
- Other suggestions – consider water shoes if you have sensitive feet, some beaches are pebbles / rocky. Goggles if you like swimming. Swim shirt if you’re sensitive to sun or just like extra warmth. A waterproof bag for your phone that you can take into or near water.
