Join Dr Deb Kern for a special Women’s Retreat – 7 days / 6 nights (with a bonus 7th night explained in Travel and FAQ’s!) immersed in the healing energies and vibrancy of the Balinese culture. Bali offers a stunning geography of ocean, mountain, volcanos and jungle with an incredibly diversity of wildlife and marine life. The Balinese people are characteristically warm and welcoming with a rich spiritual history.
Book your flight to land at Denpasar international airport and be whisked away to Floating Leaf eco-luxury retreat center for the week. We’ve hand chosen this distinct location for it’s privacy (we will be the only guests this week) and for it’s design and location. Floating Leaf is set in a small traditional Balinese village amongst verdant rice fields. This secluded location nestled between Sukawati and Pantai Purnama on the eastern shore of Bali puts us far from the traffic, pollution and the crowds of tourists found in Ubud and southern Bali, but we are still conveniently located close to the beach, airport and other key Bali landmarks.
Floating Leaf is close enough to visit Ubud (just 20 minutes), but nicely removed enough from the city energy and just a 15 minute walk to black sands beaches.
Nothing compares to the beauty and reverence of the daily of the Balinese. From the moment you land in Bali, you begin to shift from your fast-paced, material-focused western lifestyle and slip into natural time as you take in the explosion of colors from flowers, offering baskets, art, architecture and fabrics. That’s why I love guiding my Bliss Retreat in Bali. Everything from the food we eat to the dances and yoga we do to the excursions we experience is designed to awaken your senses with pleasure, liberate you from constricted patterns, heal your mind/body/emotions and free you to step back into your life as the woman you were born to be.
-Dr. Deb
Rather than telling you about it myself, I’ll let three of the women from our last Bali Bliss Retreat describe their experience in their own words:
I can’t even begin to do the experience and the connections I made justice with words. Bali herself is amazing. The people, the rituals and the believe system still ring out in my memory along with the terrain and the amazing use of basic materials and the earths gravity itself to nourish not only the body but the soul…. Give yourself and those around you a gift.
Go.

Life-altering, Amazing, Peaceful, Sisterhood, Bliss, Safe, Powerful, Eye-opening, Wild, Exotic, Unveiling the lost feminine……
I got off the plane all battered, bruised, rundown from all the everyday demands life throws at us every day and I am immediately embraced and awestruck by the alluring charm of Bali and the Balinese people. Truly breathtaking. I had NO IDEA what to expect out of this trip. I took a leap of faith and said yes because I knew deep down in my soul that “something” had to change in my life. And it did!
Prepare to shed MANY layers of unnecessary baggage. When I released all of mine I felt freed; free to live a different life, to live MY life!!!
Deb has a unique gift. She creates a safe place, one of total acceptance and love. She, ever so elegantly, guides you through this incredible journey back to your own Divine.
Take the time, invest in YOU. I promise that you will come back even more amazing than you already are.”

Because of this, we have arranged to have ALL ROOMS available and paid for the night of July 6th as well.
If you arrive during the day or late night on the 6th (at midnight this becomes the 7th), your room will be available for you to relax and acclimate from the time change. Breakfast is included on the morning of the 7th and the retreat starts with dinner on the 7th. Lunch on the 7th or other meals on the 6th can be purchased a la carte.
Of course, you can also arrive on the 7th during the day and all arrivals on the 6th or 7th will receive a driver / airport shuttle to bring you to Floating Leaf. If you arrive in Balie earlier than that on your own, please arrange transportation to meet the group at Floating Leaf on the 6th or 7th.
Do I need a visa to visit Bali?
Yes, depending on your nationality, you may need to apply for a visa in advance, or you may be eligible for a visa on arrival. For US citizens, you may be required to pay for a $35 visa upon arrival (or you may not!) The customs officers do accept other currencies and credit cards. Make sure that you have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the arrival date or you will be turned away from your departing city. You must also have proof of a return ticket. Visa regulations have been changing in Bali for almost a decade, so it is recommended that you check with your consulate for the most up-to-date information.
What airport do I fly into?
Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) is the international airpot you will be flying into. Remember you can lose up to two days with the time change and flight time, so double check your arrival date and retreat start date.
How do I get from Denpasar to Floating Leaf?
We will arrange transportation for group members arriving on the start and end date of the retreat. (For those arriving one day early, we will still provide this pick up) Expect a survey to collect your travel details. Upon exiting the airport, a trusted driver will meet you with a Floating Leaf sign.
What is the electrical currency/outlet in Bali?
Bali electricity runs at 220V and uses the European plug (two round pins). Adapters will be necessary if you are bringing any electrical items.
MORE FAQ's
Traveling outside of you home country can expose you to bugs your body might not be used to. The odd case of “bali belly” (diarrhea) is not uncommon. Packing an anti-diarrheal can put you at ease. It’s always nice to check in with your family doctor or local travel clinic if you need any information on vaccines or medications to bring with you. We’ve got some great pharmacies (“Apotek” in Indonesian).
Is there internet access on property?
Floating Leaf offers free wi-fi throughout the property. While we know its important to stay connected with friends and love ones, sometimes the unexpected storm can slow down or cut out the internet temporarily.
What will the weather be like?
Because it is located near the equator, Bali tends to have fairly stable weather with the “wet” season occurring between November and March and the ‘dry’ season between May and September. It is generally always warm with temperatures hovering in the mid-to high-80s and up.
What should I pack?
We recommend light clothing that breathes but can also protect you from the sun. Being near the equator, the Balinese sun is hot and you can burn much faster than what you might be used to. Sleeves or a light jacket is also helpful in the evenings if you decide to take a scooter ride. W
What is the currency?
The currency here is called Rupiah. You can bring your own currency over and convert it, or use ATM machines to withdraw Indonesian currency. ATM withdrawal fees vary bank to bank, so make sure you check in with yours to get all the info. Many restaurants and stores take credit cards. Don’t forget to let your bank or credit card company know you are traveling!
