One Yoga’s retreat on a remote and private coast of the big island of Hawaii offers a slice of paradise in Hilo–land of black sand beaches, magnificent volcanoes, lush tropical hideaways, pristine waterfalls, and playful dolphins. Let the practice of yoga and the soothing sounds of the gong set you at ease, and then explore one of the most healing and natural places on earth.
Heal yourself and begin and end each day in paradise with Kundalini yoga classes taught by senior teachers and Kundalini Yoga teacher trainers. Every day begins with an early morning Kundalini yoga class, or Sadhana, that consists of breathwork (pranayama), movement (kriya), sound (mantra) and meditation. Live music and chanting are part of every early morning class, and all musicians are welcome to participate (please bring your instruments!). At the end of a day of rest, play, adventure, and training, guests are offered a late afternoon Kundalini class or workshop before dinner. All Kundalini yoga classes are included as part of your vacation experience. Want to try other styles of yoga? Every day, teachers who live at the resort offer yoga classes to guests and local residents. Additional Gong Yoga Trainings will also be offered during our week together. Learn the basics of playing the Gong in a special one-day course. A Gong Yoga Therapy Certification course will also be offered for yoga teachers, sound healers, and therapists, as well as a 3-hour advanced gong playing workshop.

Please plan to arrive on March 19th. Rooms will be availbale in the afternoon and our first gathering will be at dinner that evening. Departures can be at anytime on the 26th; our last class and group gathering will be on the 25th.
To get to Kalani:
Option 1: Fly to Hilo International Airport (ITO) The Hilo International Airport is the closest airport to Kalani. Several flights are offered daily with Hawaiian Airlines and there is one direct flight from Los Angeles everyday on United Airlines. Many flights route through Honolulu from the U.S. Kalani offers transportation to and from Hilo International Airport (ITO) and locations in the local Hilo, Pahoa, and Kea’au areas. Kalani is only a 45 minute drive from Hilo. To reserve the airport shuttle please call (808) 965 7828 or email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as you have your final itinerary. Rates each direction: $65 per person solo, $45 per person when 2-4 are grouped together. Option 2: Fly to Kona (KOA): Kalani is halfway around the big island of Hawaii,a 2 1/2 – 3 hour scenic drive by car from Kona via either the northern or southern routes or the newly finished Saddle road passing Mauna Kea. Be sure to check with airlines about their offerings of special car rental rates. We have provided directions, below. Mehtab Benton is the originator and author of Gong Yoga, the first book on using the gong in the practice of yoga. He has trained hundreds of yoga teachers, therapists, and musicians in the art of playing the gong. He is a lifelong Kundalini Yoga practitioner and teacher and has trained teachers in Hatha and Kundalini Yoga for over 18 years. He is a certified Vedic Astrologer with an international practice. Laura (Guru Karam) Benton
Laura (Guru Karam) Benton began her life-long yoga practice at age 16 at a Kundalini Yoga Ashram in Houston, Texas. She is certified in Kundalini Yoga, Hatha Yoga, and Ashtanga Yoga and is a Level 1 and Level 2 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainer. She has presented classes internationally on Gong Yoga Nidra, the art of deep relaxation with the gong, and brings a feminine perspective to the art of playing the gong for meditation and relaxation. She is the recipient of the International Kundalini Yoga Teacher’s Association “Building Communities in Yoga” award and a three-time presenter at the Southwest Yoga Conference. A Registered Nurse, Guru Karam teaches anatomy and physiology in teacher training courses and is a guest lecturer in other yoga teacher training courses and a presenter at the Southwest Yoga conference. Siri Bahadur Khalsa
Siri Bahadur Khalsa has been engaged throughout his life in the pursuit of Truth and what the essence of Being is. From the roots of Catholicism through forays into Buddhism, New Age theisms, and philosophy, he finally came to the Science of Kundalini Yoga where he have found a home and a practice that he enthusiastically shares with others. Siri B.’s practice and study of this style of Yoga dates back to 1974. A student of Yogi Bhajan, he has been teaching yoga for over 20 years and has mentored thousands of students. A private room in one of our Hales (pronounced Ha’-lay, Hawaiian for “house”). Rooms are approximately 200 square feet with twin, queen, or king beds, shared bath, fan, and a garden vista.

Designed to invite nature indoors, Tree House rooms are nestled under the cool shade of a large Monkeypod Tree. Large screened walls give an outside-in sensation, endowing these rooms with tropical breezes, filtered light, and spectacular views. Tree House rooms are approx 500 square featuring private bath, mini fridge, and pastoral vistas.

These private, modern eco-cottages are the perfect place to get away from it all. Cottages have either modern wood and glass design, or the elegant and charming bamboo design with covered lanai. All units have unique artistic touches. Some units are nestled in deep tropical foliage, while others are in open-vista fields with views of the ocean. Cottages are approximately 400 square feet with private bath, fans, mini fridge, and garden tub. ONE COTTAGE STILL AVAILABLE.

Refunds and Cancellations: Refund less deposit ($395) before December 1 . No refunds after December 1. In case of cancellation, you may transfer your deposit or your reservation to another person as long as you notify One Yoga Collective in advance. Or, if we are able to fill your space from a waitlist, your fees (less your deposit) will be refunded to you. In case of cancellation by One Yoga Collective, you will receive a full refund of all funds received by One Yoga Collective. Due to arrangements made with our vacation hosts, there can be no exceptions to this policy.

HOW TO PLAY THE GONG
This one-day workshop on Sunday is suitable for beginners and those interested in teaching others to play the gong. You will learn the basics of playing the Gong and experience playing several gongs. This course fully prepares you to play the Gong and take the Gong Therapy training if you wish. Mehtab Benton, the originator and author of Gong Yoga, and Siri Bahadur, an expert gong player and yoga teacher, are the instructors for this course that has been taken by hundreds of students worldwide. Enrollment is limited, so please register for this training as soon as possible.
GONG THERAPY CERTIFICATION
This training is recommended for sound healers, yoga teachers, and therapists who wish to use the gong for transformation and healing. In this 15-hour course, you will learn to structure a gong therapy session, including client intake, diagnosis, environmental preparation, yoga methodology, and gong playing sequences. The training consists of instruction with demonstration over two days (Monday and Tuesday) with an independently scheduled 3-hour practicum scheduled at your convenience on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. You’ll receive a handbook created by Mehtab, who developed and conducts this training, as well as certification as a Gong Therapist.
ADVANCED GONG PLAYING
Deepen your playing practice and learn new gong playing techniques with Siri Bahadur, an experienced gong yoga trainer. In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to use different mallets and playing techniques to construct a powerful gong session. Registration for this workshop will be open at the beginning of the vacation week and is held after the Gong Therapy training.
