Simplify, Replenish and Enjoy!

Join Bita and Moses on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world for a 7 night oceanfront retreat.

This week will be an opportunity to slow down, simplify and restore.  As we allow routines and responsibilities to fall away, we begin to feel a quiet peacefulness that often goes unnoticed.

Each day will include yoga, breathing and meditation practices interspersed with opportunities for reflection. Enjoy generous periods of time to be on your own as well as in the warmth of community. Choose to rest and replenish alongside the turquoise waters and sandy shores of the Caribbean Sea and enjoy a massage or two. Walk or bicycle into the town of Tulum and enjoy the local culture. Visit the nearby Mayan ruins or the Sea Turtles nesting area. Plenty to do and plenty of time to enjoy not doing too! Join us!

We have only 10 cabanas, so this retreat is limited to 18-20 students.  Reserve your space early!

Our home for the week takes us approximately 90 miles south of Cancun on the Caribbean coast of Northeast Mexico known as the Riviera Maya, a verdant area bordered by a pristine blue ocean and emerald-green tropical forests and jungles. The world’s second longest reef stretches from Quintana Roo to Honduras with miles of some of the best beaches in the Western Hemisphere. The Riviera Maya is home to tranquil sea coves, bays, lagoons, caves, cenotes, and other landmarks that are vestiges of a culture thousands of years old.

The influence of ancient Mayan culture on the Yucatan Peninsula makes this area unlike any other in Mexico. The resort is located just a few miles from the ruins of the 13th century Pyramid El Castillo (The Castle) that provide a breathtaking view of the sea crashing below. Tulum boasts an unspoiled native village that is a refreshing contrast to the tourist towns farther north.

Shambhala Petit lies on a secluded road,  with its own dramatic beach and private cover. Should you wish to retreat into a world of your own, the resort is self-contained, but with plenty of opportunities to explore the unique offerings of the Riviera Maya and its ancient, mysterious culture. We will be there during one of the most beautiful times of year, when the temperatures range from 78 to 85°F and the water is warm yet refreshing. Guests are free to explore the different beaches in the area, many an easy ride or even a walk from the resort, or simply relax on your private beach listening to the ever-present rhythm of the waves and enjoying nature in all its splendor.

After an easy 90-minute drive, you’ll arrive at your beach paradise. The first meal included in your retreat is dinner. Check out time is anytime before noon on the last day.

Check in time starts at 2pm on SATURDAY, JANUARY 26
The center does not provide airport pick ups, but shuttles can be shared with participants on similar flights. Happy Shuttle (link embedded)  offer shuttles for $100 that can be divided amongst 6-8 people. Super Shuttle offers $40 one way to Shambala Petit.
