Women’s Bliss Retreat with Dr. Deb Kern
August 20-26, 2017
Most women are living life cut off from their true essence, exhausting themselves as they try every kind of exercise and diet regime to feel healthy, energized, sexy, sensual and feminine. Cut off from their true power, they are running on fumes – feeling cranky, overwhelmed and tired.
There is a power that lies dormant inside of you with the capacity to wake you up and fuel your bliss. It is the divine feminine life force called shakti. Why is it dormant? Because it has been misunderstood and maligned for thousands of years. But the time has come to reclaim your power, and Dr. Deb can help you do that.
are you ready?
Join Dr. Deb Kern for a week immersed in the healing energies and vibrancy of the Balinese culture. My friend and colleague Dr. Deborah Kern, who I would trust with my LIFE, is giving a rare opportunity for women. I can’t even begin to express how heavenly and empowering Deb’s work is. If you are so moved, sign up NOW while there is still some space.

Within a safe, supportive environment, an Intensive with Deb Kern engages the mind, opens the heart, awakens the body, and touches the soul. Like Dr. Deb herself, it encourages us to recognize and honor the sacred within.

Upon your arrival in Denpasar, you’ll be greeted at the airport and whisked away to our little paradise for the week. We’ll nourish ourselves with life-filled organic foods, visit area temples and cultural sites, and practice yoga in our open air yoga studio complete with breathtaking views of the rice terraces, coconut trees, and the jungle canopy.
We’ll also experience a performance of traditional Balinese dance and storytelling, venture out to the temple of Gunung Kawi, be blessed in the water temple of Tampak Siring and visit Goa Gajah / Elephant Cave. Travel, Additional Information & FAQ’s
Do I need a visa to visit Bali?
Yes, depending on your nationality, you may need to apply for a visa in advance, or you may be eligible for a visa on arrival. Please check this link to verify your status: www.balitourismboard.org. Visas on arrival are $35 USD. The customs officers do accept other currencies and credit cards as well.
Make sure that you have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the arrival date or you will be turned away from your departing city.
You must also have proof of a return ticket. Visa regulations have been changing in Bali for almost a decade, so it is recommended that you check with your consulate for the most up-to-date information.
What airport do I fly into?
Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) is the international airpot you will be flying into. Remember you can lose up to two days with the time change and flight time, so double check your arrival date and retreat start date.
How do I get from Denpasar to Soulshine Bali?
We will arrange transportation for group members arriving on the 20th and departing on the 26th. Expect a survey collecting your travel details. Upon exiting the airport, a trusted driver will meet you with a Soulshine Bali sign and big, welcoming smile.
What is the electrical currency/outlet in Bali?
Bali electricity runs at 220V and uses the European plug (two round pins). Adapters will be necessary if you are bringing any electrical items. Soulshine has adapters for you to borrow and all the rooms have at least one American-style plug for direct access. You can also easily purchase adapters once you arrive.
Do I need any vaccines?
Traveling outside of you home country can expose you to bugs your body might not be used to. The odd case of “bali belly” (diarrhea) is not uncommon. Packing an anti-diarrheal can put you at ease. It’s always nice to check in with your family doctor or local travel clinic if you need any information on vaccines or medications to bring with you. We’ve got some great pharmacies (“Apotek” in Indonesian) and an awesome health clinic nearby Soulshine Bali in case you need anything.
Is there internet access on property?
Soulshine offers free wi-fi throughout the property. While we know its important to stay connected with friends and love ones, sometimes the unexpected storm can slow down or cut out the internet temporarily.
What will the weather be like?
Because it is located near the equator, Bali tends to have fairly stable weather with the “wet” season occurring between November and March and the ‘dry’ season between May and September. The sun still shines bright during the wet season. It is generally always hot with temperatures hovering in the mid- to high-80s and up.
What should I pack?
We recommend light clothing that breathes but can also protect you from the sun. Being near the equator, the Balinese sun is hot and you can burn much faster than what you might be used to. Sleeves or a light jacket is also helpful in the evenings if you decide to take a scooter ride. We’ve got great natural bug spray and SPF 25 sunscreen, but don’t forget to pack your own if you have your favorites.
What is the currency?
The currency here is called Rupiah. You can bring your own currency over and convert it, or use ATM machines to withdraw Indonesian currency. ATM withdrawal fees vary bank to bank, so make sure you check in with yours to get all the info. Many restaurants and stores take credit cards. Don’t forget to let your bank or credit card company know you are traveling!
